Shocking both my wife and my tax accountant, Turnipofpower.com made the “50 ‘Money Making’ Twitter Users you Should be Following!” list on Advertisespace.com.  As the article only contains 25 names, it’s actually a “Top 25 List”.   I’ll be joining them in the hunt for the missing millions once I finish writing this article .

Seriously, I made a few grand last year online, but hardly enough to live on.  Perhaps I was included in the list to add some controversy.  Known for calling a spade a spade and an asshat an asshat, I’m not afraid to tell it like it is.   To quote the article,  Turnip “Used to pimp Entrecard and is now their arch enemy” lends credence to this theory.  Dr. Evil and I are currently plotting for the June 2009 overthrow of the Entrecard regime.   Once the plug is pulled on their server, what will their card carrying dropping members do with all their free time?  Can this catastrophe be prevented by commenting on Advertisespace.com?

Perhaps Turnipofpower.com made the list because it was seen as an influencial blog in the marketing sector.  Social Marketing in particular, bloggers are looking for ways to promote their blog on various social networks.  Whether it be networking, WordPress, marketing, or blog tips in general, I try to provide good advice.   My own blogging network CMF Ads is gaining a larger market share.  Undoubtedly I influence readers of those forums, but my twitter posts?   Most of my tweets are just yanking somebody’s chain.  Even if they don’t have a chain.

Who else made the list?

I won’t list all 25, but I’ll give my comments on the ones I do know of.

  • Problogger – He deleted my first comment on his blog and I never went back until Ben Barden wrote a few guest posts there.  “Great Post Darren” even though your commenters haven’t caught on it’s a guest post.
  • DoshDosh – I rarely read this site, but I come across their content all the time in the search engines.
  • KidBlogger – Carl Ocab- Of course a full time living in the Philippines is $600 a month.  But his blog has some good stuff and Evilwoobie would get angry if I said anything bad about her friend.
  • IanFernando- A fellow New Jersey guy with a slick looking blog who wanted to get off that “Top Affiliate Challenge” show. Every so often I think about attending one of his meetups, then smack myself a few times for my lapse in judgement.
  • TurnipofPower-   Used to pimp Entrecard and is now their arch enemy.  : Love this guy!
  • ShoeMoney- I used to read and subscribe to all his stuff.  Then he deleted one of my posts, so I unsubscribed.  With all the money/free advertising facebook must have paid him to shill their ad service, one less reader won’t hurt him.
  • Copyblogger – For some reason I always wanted to advertise on his site, then when I go there, I see he has no ads.
  • JohnChow – I like his food posts; hate the rest.  When I need some crap to promote, I just look what John is promoting.  Saves me lots of time.
  • JohnCow – The old Cow was a sad cow.  The new Cow is a happy cow.  Neither entertains me much anymore.
  • NickyCakes – Anyone who refers to themselves in the 3rd person is alright in my book.
  • MoneyReignZac Johnson -  I hate marketing blogs represented by cartoon figures.  I also hate mimes and clowns.  Go figure.
  • UberAffiliate- I read him on occassion.  Spends a lot to make a lot.
