I had a good laugh recently when turnipofpower.com was accused of doctoring comments to only show negative responses in its December 2008 post Banned From Entrecard For Using Twitter ! Unfortunately, I am not able to post a response on a forum that I’ve been banned from. So for those Entrecard traffic exchange members perched on a fence waiting to fall off the EC bandwagon, I will post some facts about that article.

As you can see below in my Akismet graphs, not even a single false positive until the 10th of December. Unlike Entrecard I do not censor my forums. I delete spam by marking it as spam. The only time I ever edit a post is if there is profanity (blanked out), the person misspelled their URL address (corrected), or they linked to a virus (URL deleted). The content of the posted comment remains in any case.
Looks like not all the rats have left that sinking ship. But don’t let the facts stand in the way of a certain nut attacking me because I made them look ridiculous in the past. I enjoy the backlinks! The public incidents of that day are well documented. Yes, there is additional dirt that has not been released, but that remains private.
Now, what you probably don’t know is that my comments on the Entrecard blog post of December 4th were deleted. In addition, ads I had running in the Entrecard sidebar were deleted as well, after they had been approved and paid for. These are the type of actions people are leaving Entrecard over. It’s funny how the people crying about censorship can’t see past their own forum blog. Graham is directly asked about where the deleted comments went and he ignores the subject in the very next comment. Which is exactly how one would expect an absentee owner to respond.
I think it pretty much show immaturity on his part. Of my hundreds of twitter followers, when I asked the question “Turnip of Power vs Entrecard; Who Wins?” Several users said ToP, none said Entrecard. Graham who’d I’d forgotten was following me replied with “ToP,” I think to act funny and pretend to roll it off his shoulders, but I was banned from EntreCard minutes following this.
Wow, I didn’t know this and sad to hear your story. I wish you had told me sooner. Any email sent explaining why or response from the admins? It’s against EC’s own policies to let that jackass randomly ban people. There is supposed to be a warning sent. But of course, you see how he changed the rules to steal my credits.
Well, I will have to agree on this too, EC has banned my sites without notice and deleted my credits. Shooting themselves in the foot won’t help no one, Graham still doesn’t realizes that he really shot his own foot, all his supporters.
We are now “peeved” because he’s simply not thinking clearly. If he REALLY wanted to make money, things would be different. I think all he really wants is to be powerful over bloggers when himself isn’t even a qualified blogger with a reputable blog.

Wow, the things I have been hearing and seeing going on at EC is…just wow! The forum is pretty much dead now. The rules are changing every week. I barely drop there, and I barely buy ads but I stay because it does get me some hits and I get to meet other blogs(met you there). I use EC just for the basics, to get some hits, and to meet new bloggers. Oh and to get help via the forum. I hate that you got kicked off there because anytime someone needed something, the first person they said to ask was you, its not a good look for EC to drop a huge member for pointing out things. I’ll probably be one of the next b/c they hate my blog there but thats fine.
I’ve heard that sarcasm doesn’t show up correctly when typed, but that one is pretty common

Asking “Turnip of Power vs Entrecard; Who Wins?” doesn’t even take a side, and even if it did, it shouldn’t make the slightest bit of difference.

It does take a side, but it’s not cause to ban a user at Entrecard.
To be honest John, what he did there was against the twitter Terms of Service and he should be banned. He is harassing and censoring members of the twitter community.
I stopped dropping cards and will be exiting Entrecard soon. I haven’t missed the traffic, and noticed my bounce rates have gone down. I used to be excited about Entrecard (about a year ago), but much has changed (or unchanged in terms of the tool) that it just isn’t fun.
I’m hoping to drop replace Entrecard with CMF Ads soon (hint hint!).
Who is Graham? What is Entrecard for that matter?
