I apologize for anybody that tried to reach my page and couldn’t. Earlier in the day I installed WP-Super-Cache. It worked wonderfully, cutting down my page load time sometimes to 1 second. Then a few hours later, nothing, all php requests failed. Strangely enough, the only pages that could be seen were those super-cache still had. In a sense, the plugin helped a little during my servers difficult time. Logging into my server’s control panel, I saw the issue was some other website hosted there who ruined it for everyone. My phone calls reached a busy signal, and no response to my ticket, guess Blue-host got swamped. Anyway, all is working fine now. Super-Cache can be found here: Link But be careful with it and test after every enabling each setting.
I checked up on that and people said it varied for each host. Bluehost uses apache, and so far I havent been swamped with 500 errors even though gzip is turned on. The server crash was caused by someone else. Memory use is usually around 1-3%, but today it was at 90% and I couldnt even log into php-myadmin. Some other guy messed things up and we share the same box.
The plugin works fine on my host with everything enabled. The problem was another account on the server. The hosting company restarted the sql server and everything worked again.
