In typical asshat fashion, former Million Dollar Wiki boy blunder Graham Langdon has banned the Turnipofpower.com account from Entrecard for using the Twitter service. In addition, he is censoring all negative tweets regarding his own service. Funny how he suddenly has time to monitor his long neglected business when it comes to defending his hat, but not to help the thousands of members scratching their heads when it comes to customer service. Looks like I won’t be able to give away my worthless Entrecard credits as planned. Let’s follow the amusing series of events.
1. Graham posts about how he will autopost all twitter posts mentioning Entrecard on his blog.
2. After giggling like a school girl, I decide to see if this is really the case and make the following tweet: “Is that asshat from Entrecard still wearing his asshat?”
3. Sure enough, my post appears in the Entrecard Sidebar as shown below. 
4. A few minutes later my tweet vanishes. Poof!
5. I check the blog and see Graham has edited his original post to include the following quoted portion “Just a quick note that Entrecarders are expected to be on their best behavior. Any intentional use of profanity or harassment directed at other Entrecarders or Entrecard Staff using Twitter will result in immediate account deletion. We have a zero tolerance policy for harassment at Entrecard.”
Wow, so a content scraper autoposting tweets seems to think he can dictate what appears on another social network, when he can’t even take care of the spam on his own network.
6. Trying to log in, I see my account has been deleted. Apparently, mentioning Entrecard negatively on another social network is now cause for deletion. This is not the first time Graham Langdumb has deleted long standing members in fits of anger. Anyone remember firestorm? So now I try to post my grievances on the EC forums, and they are all down. Typical crappy service.
He has a stoned picture of himself in a silly hat and he bans you for alluding to it. Classic.
Can I still speak poorly of Entrecard’s users on my blog? How about in my living room?
What’s even funnier, is that anyone could have posted that on twitter making up a fake name and using my icon. Is he randomly going to ban everyone without checking their identies? Obviously in this case I admit the twitter post is mine, but seriously. It’s amazing this douche got this far in life.
That is just wrong. If I had never wrote this post, I would still have known you were joking – just because I know you.
You would think that since you have been such an active member in the EC community, he would have seen that as a joke.
I don’t know what to say turnip, I hope he realises his mistake but somehow, I doubt it =(

Graham seriously needs to grow the hell up, and his staff could and should force the issue, imo. Disliking someone or what someone says is one thing. Taking every little thing as an excuse to ban people is a whole other matter, and indicates a lack of maturity.
This doesn’t surprise me at all. Graham has provided many falsehoods, broken promises and now this.
EC is dead and I have said this in a few blogs. You can’t have a successful service when the owner is still going through diaper changes.
Nicely done, Turnip! That was a retarded idea for Graham to come up with in the first place, knowing that there are at least as many detractors out there as supporters these days.
I have several blogs on EntreCard and consider myself a large part of the EntreCard community. Because of recent events including this one, I feel I must leave EntreCard.
Furthermore, it appears that EntreCard broke StumbleUpon TOS as it is under investigation by them and I always thought he showed immature behavior apparent in the fact that he created a forum where other member could argue with each other in and then closed it because of his own hurt feelings.
Outrageous.
You can’t set rules afterwards and then ban someone for breaking them.
Bas: He has a history of not taking responsibility for his own actions. Who knows how many other people he has banned for negative blog posts, negative forums posts, negative stumble reviews of his own splogs, and of course, negative tweets. I know I’m not the first person banned under his incompetant leadership.

He drew too soon on this. I was watching on Twitter and the blog and saw it all happen in what seemed like just a matter of minutes. Silly decision. And I agree with Bas re: before and after.

Could you place the green RSS widget for follow up comments at the top of the comments to the location of the line that reads “***Use the green RSS widget above to subscribe to comments*** “. It is getting difficult to go all the way up to find it after 10+ comments.

Let me get this straight. You have provided many tips and constructive criticism to help make Entrecard better. You have made regular posts regarding using Entrecard effectively, including stats and your own droplist.

Graham’s true age has definitely been showing the last little while.
I saw the thread he started in the EC Forums asking about how his hat looked. I went on over earlier to read, what were sure to be interesting replies and found the message: “We have a bug in our software…”. I immediately started laughing and just knew something was up and it involved that hat!! I’ll be by everyday- ECard or not.
It’s such a shame that Graham isn’t sufficiently mature to see which are important issues and address them. This latest fiasco could well be the tipping point where entrecard degenerates beyond redemption.
I am utterly stunned. GL has made some pretty bone headed decisions and done some pretty awful things before, but this takes the cake. Feh.

That’s too bad. You have done a lot to promote and stand up for EC. I don’t think anyone is right to slam Graham, none of us are perfect people. But, it is too bad he didn’t contact you about the post on Twitter first. He might change his mind and regret his spur of the moment decision. But for your blog, I think it will be good to see you feature other social networks more often.
After hours of being off-line, the forum is back. It will be interesting to see what happens to the inevitable discussion.

I’m sad that one of the top dropper was banned. I agree on one of the comment above that you indeed posted ec constructive criticism so EC will become better. I hope Graham will realize his mistake soon. I don’t want to use twitter on ec.

WOW!, but I don’t find GL’s behavior surprising as I saw this behavior when I left unceremoniously a long time ago.

I actually preferred how things were when Graham was on his road trip.

Alan: I’m not quitting blogging. I have my own social network called the CMF Network that blows away anything EC has. You should see a few ads for it around my site. And I did it with no coders, no budget, and no excuses. If Stan says “it’s lame”, it get’s tossed, no excuses, no lame promises.

I was going to leave a “that sucks, I’m sorry” comment, but then I thought, ‘how much does it really suck?’ You’re going to be saving so much time everyday (although I’ll miss the guaranteed daily drop in my inbox). I for one am excited to read about how you spend your time now that your done with EC and the results you see. I’ve subscribed to your blog so I don’t lose you.
It appears as if soon Graham will have to do what he did at the start of EC, he will have to pay people to join. The man is most probably vain enough to be reading these comments so I would like to tell Graham that I quite like his new hat, it is the bit under the hat that I do not like.
