underwater helmet camOver the years watching David Letterman I always wanted one of those Helmet Cams.  In my younger days we used to take our BMX bikes, park a car near a lake, and then use a ramp to jump over the car right into the deep water.  All we ended up with at the end of the day besides wet bicycles were a couple of fuzzy photos and a summons from the park ranger.  Now the Liquid Image Video Camera Swim Mask changes all of that.

It’s a combination swim mask and video camera.  You can film underwater to a depth of 15 feet, taking either still pictures or video.  With an anti-fog coating and hands free operation, there is nothing to interfere with your swimming.

Now for the technical specs based upon the 16MB of internal Memory. There are two picture resolution for stills.  High Res 5.0MP (2560×1920) will allow you to take 29 Pictures.  Low Res 3.1MP (2048×1536) gives you 45 Pictures.  VGA quality video mode at 18-25FPS let’s you take 53 seconds of video.   If you need more recording time, simply insert a Micro SD Card.  The camera is powered by two AAA batteries.  To download your videos to a PC or Mac use the included USB cable.  Also included is ArcSoft Video and photo Impression Editing Software

So whether you’re visiting a coral reef for vacation or simply exploring the backyard pool, take along the Liquid Image Video Camera Swim Mask.  It’s the coolest underwater gadget to come along this summer from my sponsor helmetcentral.com.
