As many of you know, I drop from my own list of bookmarks. Currently the number of blogs on my list totals 265. The remaining 35 blogs I drop on from the inbox. Fascinating! This means with a 5 day popularity score of 2387, that’s 477 people dropping on me a day. Let’s do the math, 477-300=177 unlucky people.
Wouldn’t you rather be one of the 300 I drop on daily, rather than take a 1 in 5 chance that you are one of the lucky 35 I drop on from the inbox? For sure, Turnip! To add yourself to my droplist, simply follow the directions here.
I have to say I’ve been very pleased the last 30 days with the activity of the droppers on my list. As you see in the chart above, more than 30% of you drop 20 or more times on me a month. 40 of you drop on me 28-30 times a month. Outstanding!

Turnip, since the toolbar rolled out have you noticed a large drop in returned droppers? I know you don’t advertise otherwise I would ask the same about advertising clicks. I have seen a huge drop in both.
Gary: I had a surge of visitors/commenters from the launch of sezwho, and then the launch of the E.C toolbar, hitting almost 1000 and 800 uniques daily respectively. Since then traffic has returned to a slightly higher than normal level. Weekly, 4500 visitors has been steady though. I think the toolbar is bringing me increased traffic because I am in the most popular category, which are the first cards the toolbar drops on.
Hits from the EC inbox are down, but that is good, as I dont want to see EC as the referrer. I do run some ads, but there is no way to judge diminished returns because I have no set pattern of spending because I only run a few 2cr and 4cr ad spots. Somebody who invests 1000cr daily to advertising could probably judge that trend better.
As you see from the graph, almost all my traffic is return droppers from my list. When EC gets a surge of new people, then my site benefits as well.
