I’m proud to announce the opening of a new website titled Computer Tech News.  It’s goal is to provide the latest Computer Hardware and Software News.  While similar in style to other news aggregate sites, it does have a nice clean look all it’s own.  For me, it was a chance to design a new site and play around with some new WordPress plugins.  In order for it to require minimal maintenance, I convert RSS feeds from select sites into html.  This was the hardest part, as I had played around with this concept at sales.turnipofpower.com and really had trouble with most of the RSS to html plugins.  There the trick was to use a single static page for each feed that updated the html.  In Computer Tech News, I convert each rss article into it’s own post.

To make it look sharp, I used the 3 column xMark Theme by: Lisa Sabin-Wilson. The theme was very easy to set up.  When I get a chance I may tweak the font color on the RSS widget, other than that I didn’t change anything other than switch from full posts to excerpts.  The theme’s use of the color red really sets off each post excerpt.
